Bailey Concert Singers' Symposium

Wexford Festival Opera - Suor Angelica
Susie will sing the roles of Suor Osmina and Le Suore Cercatrici in Puccini’s Suor Angelica at the 2023 Wexford Festival Opera.

Wexford Festival Opera - La Ciociara
Susie will sing in the chorus for the Wexford Festival Opera’s 2023 production of La Ciociara by Marco Tutino.

Bernadette Greevy Recital
Susie will perform a recital with duo partner Joanna Kacperek in the Kevin Barry Recital Room. Susie is the winner of the 2019 Bernadette Greevy Bursary and Mahler Prize. The programme will feature Alma Mahler, Clara Schumann, Ina Boyle and a selection of popular songs and arias.

Cosí Fan Tutte - Fiordiligi
Susie will sing Fiordiligi with Random Opera Company in March in Rugby, UK.

The Salon Series - 'Sea Wrack'
‘Sea Wrack’ is one of six productions making up The Salon Series, featuring staged performances in the round by Northern Irish and Irish artists.
Come and join us as we explore the work of composers and new arrangements of songs from across the island of Ireland, including pieces by William Balfe, Hamilton Harty and William Vincent Wallace. ‘Sea Wrack’ will take place in the St Joseph’s in Sailortown, once a church, now a venue for the people of Sailortown who have ambitious plans to fully restore the building as a community and arts hub.
Soprano Susie Gibbons, mezzo Jenny Bourke, tenor Michael Bell and baritone Seamus Brady, with pianist Frasier Hickland, will perform repertoire including ‘Sea Wrack’ by Hamilton Harty in a new arrangement by Bryan Evans, ‘Carrickfergus’ in a new arrangement by Matthew Owens and ‘Sainted Mother’ by William Vincent Wallace.
Refreshments will be available at the venue.
This event is part of NI Opera’s new Salon Series: six one act productions featuring opera, art song, cabaret and music theatre, which will be performed in spectacular locations around Northern Ireland during 2023.

Susie is one of four finalists to compete in the Young Artist Singing Competition accompanied by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
